By car via the Brenner
Highway (A22):
Travel in the direction of
South Tyrol. The fastest
way to get here, is via the Brenner
Highway. After taking the
Brixen/Pustertal Exit,
travel into the Puster Valley in the direction
of Bruneck (SS49-E66).
Just before Bruneck (right after you have crossed the river
Rienz) take the right exit
(direction Bruneck WEST or
Tauferer-Ahrntal). Immediately
following the exit and towards your
left you will follow the road to Bruneck after passing a bridge.
In the next traffic circle
take the third exit in direction
Pfalzen/Tauferer Ahrntal.
Follow the road for 1 km (0.6 mi) and take a right after the
bridge. Follow the road for 1.5 kilometer (app. 1 mi) to the
next traffic circle, where
you will again take the third exit.
Take the next right, direction
Aufhofen. After traveling
about 1.4 kilometers (app. 0.8 mi) you will reach the center
of Aufhofen. At the village
square, at the fountain,
you will take a left and follow the road uphill for app. 500
meters (0.3 mi). The Oberhofer
Farm is located on the left, from here you will enjoy the beautiful
panoramic vistas of the mountains and the village. By
car via Lienz in East Tyrol (A):
Crossing the Austrian-Italian
border you will follow
the federal highway (SS49-E66) for app. 37 km (23 mi) to the
exit Bruneck-OST.
After exiting the highway follow the road for app. 1.8 km
(1.1 mi) to the first traffic
light (Kapuziner Platz),
there you will take a right
in the direction of Tauferer
Ahrntal. Again follow
the road, taking the exit directly opposite from where you
entered the traffic circle
in the direction of Tauferer-Ahrntal.
Immediately upon exiting
you will have to turn off to the right
in the direction of Aufhofen.
After traveling about 1.4 kilometers (app. 0.8 mi) you will
reach the center of Aufhofen. At
the village square, at
the fountain, you will take a left and follow the road uphill
for app. 500 meters (0.3 mi). The
Oberhofer Farm is located on the left, from here you will
enjoy the beautiful panoramic vistas of the mountains and
